Obituary of Stanislawa Lesniewski

Stanislawa Lesniewski of Calgary passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on May 19, 2008 at the age of 94. She is survived by her Calgary family, sisters, Halina Gil and Janina Sudak; nephews, Mark Lesniewski, Richard Gil, Christopher Sudak and his wife Kathleen and Leszek Sudak and his wife Betty and great-nephews whom she adored, Sebastian and Lucasz Sudak. Stanislawa is survived by her family in Poland, brother, Czeslaw; sister, Czeslawa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Stanislaw, Walter, Jozef, Wiktor and Jan and sisters, Apolonia, and Jadwiga all of Poland. Stanislawa was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1966. Since arriving here she lived in Edmonton, Vancouver and has resided in Calgary since 1989. Even though she did not have any children of her own, her legacy was that she helped raise not only her younger brothers and sisters but several nieces and nephews. Stanislawa was a source of inspiration to all who knew her.
