Obituary of Elfrieda Helene Hinch
Our beloved mother, Elfrieda Helene (Freddie) Hinch of Airdrie, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the age of 71 years.
Freddie was born in Eatonia, SK and was raised in Rolling Hills, AB. She graduated from nursing school in Calgary and spent her nursing career at the Holy Cross Hospital until she retired. Freddie married Ed Hinch on October 15, 1955 and raised four children in Calgary.
Freddie is survived by two sons and two daughters, Randy Hinch of Airdrie, Cori (Steve) Orosz of Airdrie, Rob (Paula) Hinch of Malawi, Africa, and Carol Hinch of Calgary; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Devin Orosz. She is also survived by her sister Connie Carratt of Brooks; sister-in-law, Alice Howard of Calgary; two brothers-in-law, Dan Hinch of Calgary and Hap (Edie) Hinch of Lethbridge; as well as several nieces and nephews. Freddie was predeceased by her husband Ed Hinch on April 1, 2003; her parents, Carl and Wilhelmena Metzger; and her brother, Art Metzger.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Airdrie Chapel (300 Towerlane Drive) on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at Lutheran Church Of The Master (216 Main Street South, Airdrie) on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. Graveside Service to follow at Airdrie Cemetery.
