Obituary of Ashford Claude Sleigh

Ashford (A. J.) Claude Sleigh Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 14, 2008 at the tender age of 11 months, 10 days. A.J. was born at the Foothills Hospital at 10:48 p.m. on May 24, 2007. He will be lovingly remembered for his infectious smile that would brighten anybody’s day. Even though he was only here for a short time, the precious memories will last a life time. A.J. is survived by his loving parents Ashford Sleigh Sr. and Marissa Labelle; sister Shayla; and brother Elias. He is also survived by his, uncle Kenton (Tessa); aunties, Alana, Mandy, Gail, Ashley, Tannis, and Agnes; great-grandfathers Alphonse Sleigh, Bill McLean, Bert Wildman; great-grandmother Ramona Wildman, Christine grandparents Karen Sleigh (Sidney), Muriel Labelle; great uncles Darrel, Lee (Sybil), Rudy, Myles (Rebecca), Garnett (Miranda); great-aunties Sharon (Leonard), Lori (Dee), Madeline, Myra, Laura (Louie), Germaine, Pam (Keon), Jolene (Hank); and extended family too numerous to mention. A.J. was predeceased by great-grandmothers, Theresa Sleigh, Caroline Labelle, grandfathers Lucien Paul and Gilbert Wildman, great uncles Ashford Sleigh, Leroy Sleigh, Gerald, George, Maurice, Eldon McLean, Craig, Cody, Emmett, Lyndon; great-aunts Lee-anne, Bernadette Sleigh, Jolene, Marilyn Labelle, Nowell, Dorlisa Labelle. Wake Services will be held at the residence Muriel Labelle (Morley, AB) on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Morley Gymnasium.
