Obituary of John Grenville Stout

John Grenville Stout, beloved husband of Lucy Stout and father of Rhondda Grant and Hilary Stout, all of Calgary, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2008 at the age of 82. John was born June 25, 1925 in Winnipeg and was raised in Manitoba. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII and graduated from UBC with a degree in geology in 1950. He worked in the oil industry throughout his life, in Calgary and around the world. He married Lucy Matich in 1955. Besides his wife and daughters, John is survived by his grandaughter, Morgan Grant and grandson, Dixon Grant. A celebration of John’s life will be held at McInnis & Holloway’s “Park Memorial Chapel” (5008 Elbow Drive South West) on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
