Obituary of Henryk Ulaszonek

Henryk, Heniek, Dad, Tato and of course, Dziadzio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the age of 87 years. Henryk was born in Topczewo, Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1965 to give a better life to his young family. He was a stone mason by trade and following his retirement, he pursued a career in fishing. Henryk was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church. Henryk is survived by his wife Eugenia; his son Bogdan; and his grandchildren, Jennifer and Jozef Ulaszonek, Bernadette and her husband Courtney Webber, Kristopher Luttmer, and Katherine and her husband Johnathon Strashok; as well as four great grandchildren, Joshua, Hailey, Chase, and Payge. He is also survived by his nephews, Alex, Henry and Victor Ulaszonek and their families; his sisters-in-law Veronica and her husband Stan Falkowski and their children, Beata and James; and Janina Ulaszonek. Henryk was predeceased by an infant son Mirek, infant daughter Danuta and daughter Jadwiga Luttmer. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge Drive N.W.) on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in St. Joseph’s section at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
