Obituary of Timothy Akins

After a long, ferociously fought battle, Tim succumbed to kidney cancer on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 63 years of age. Tim leaves his wife, Carol; daughter Brenda (Todd) and son Bryan (Wanda); four sisters Terry, Susan, Joan and Cathy; three brothers Mike, Pat and Mark and their families as well as parents-in-law Clarence and Annie Hill. Big T will be remembered by Sofia and Guilianna and their parents, Ida and Frank Durante as well as Halle and her parents Lisa and Brad Jackson. Tim was predeceased by his parents, Bud and Mary Akins; brother Bill and nephew Kyle. Tim was a former member of Ironworkers Local 725 and a retired member of Local 720. Private memorial will be held. The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers at Agape Hospice for the care given to Tim.
