Obituary of Sarah Sally Tait

Sarah “Sally” Tait of Calgary passed away on Monday, May 5, 2008 at the age of 77 years. Sally immigrated to Calgary from Greenock, Scotland in June 1969 with her husband and family in the hopes of a better life for her children. She was a very compassionate person and would always stand up for others in need. Sally loved to knit and going to bingo especially with her two daughters and son Brian. Sally is lovingly remembered by her children, John (Debbie) Tait, Geraldine Tait, Rosemary (Keith) Gillanders, Stewart Tait, Peter Tait; and Brian Tait; grandchildren, Samantha, Scott and Sebastian. She is also survived by her brother Tommy (Marjorie) Stanton in Scotland; sister-in-law Florrie Hankin of Vancouver, special niece Cathy Pyefinch also in Scotland; as well as several other nieces, nephews and extended family in Scotland and Canada. She was predeceased by her mother Katie Stanton and father Thomas Stanton and; sister Mary; and her husband John Tait.
