Obituary of Maria Priolo

Maria (Mary), after a very short and courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 49 years. Mary leaves behind her two cherished children, Gina (Andrew) and Louis (Nicole); her brother Rico Arancio; sisters, Lina (Serafino) Scarpino, Eva (Darrel) White and Adela (Dave) Shapka and numerous nieces and nephews who adored her kindness, gentle nature and genuine sense of humour. She will always be cherished and missed by the many wonderful friends that shared her life. Mary’s goal in life was the happiness of her family. There was nothing she valued more. Her two children, Gina and Louis were the anchors in her life. Mary was predeceased by her father Mario Arancio in 2000 and her mother Giovanna in 2007. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
