Obituary of James Nicholas Farrelly

James (Jim) Farrelly, beloved husband of Jan Farrelly of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the age of 74 years. Jim was born September 27, 1933 in Glasgow, Scotland. He had been employed with Telus (AGT) for many years, retiring in 1991. Jim was a life member of the Italian Club and played soccer for their team “Juventus” through the 60’s and 70’s. Jim loved to sing and was a member of various choirs over the years. Besides his loving wife and sweetheart Jan, Jim is also survived by his family, Sherry and Don Fitger, Mark Farrelly, James and Catherine Farrelly, Sylvia Straza, as well as ten grandchildren; Jeremy, Crystal, Brett, Sarah, Brittany, Andrea, Ashley, Amber, Amanda, and Davison, and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Henny Dohmeier, Marijke (Marvin) Martin, and Tilly Roberts. Jim was predeceased by his parents Jay and Sylvia Farrelly, and two brothers-in-law, Stan Roberts and Lu Dohmeier.
