Obituary of Bruce Debnam

Bruce Debnam passed away suddenly on Monday, April 21, 2008, at the age of 60, of a heart attack. He was travelling home from a time of doing what he loved most – helping people with horses. Bruce spent his growing up years in the community of Manchester in Calgary, where he established friendships that lasted all his life. In 1969 he married and realized his dream of living in the country and having his horses right outside his front door. Bruce made many contributions to the communities of Priddis and Millarville over a period of three decades while he lived there. He took special pleasure and pride in the years he was involved with the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede both through 4-H and the Queen Committee. Also, during the short time he was in Coaldale, Bruce made some true friends and touched even more lives. Bruce’s generosity and spirit will be deeply missed. You think I’m gone, but I am not. My spirit lives, in beauty thought. See the love, in every tear. And you will know, I’m always near. Bruce will always be missed his daughter Holly and her Mama Loraine. Also remembering Bruce are his mother Doreen; sisters, Connie, Bonnie and Barb; brothers, Doug (Jody), Ross (Sylvia), and Russ; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relations. He is also in the hearts of a vast network of genuine friends of all ages. A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held the Palomino Room of the Roundup Centre at the Calgary Stampede Grounds on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
