Obituary of Rose Forester

Rose Forester passed away on April 16, 2008 surrendering gracefully to cancer shortly after her 92nd birthday. Rose Forester was born in Lethbridge, AB and moved at an early age to Medicine Hat where she was raised. After serving in the RCAF she moved to Calgary where she met the love of her life, Herb. After Herb’s passing in 1958, Rose assumed the challenge of raising three young children and also embarked on a successful career of over twenty-two years as a Life Underwriter for Mutual Life. She also made many friends as an Avon representative for over forty-five years. She touched many lives with her cheerful demeanour, sense of humour and grace. Rose will be lovingly and proudly remembered by sons Gord and Rick; daughter, Judy; grandchildren, Sarah, Emily and Jordan; niece Sheila (Irv) Shore and family; nephew Harvey (Marika) Austin; daughters-in-law Marie and Kathy, and her many friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Anne and Penny and brothers, Joe and Abe. A Celebration of Rose’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 2:30 P.M.
