Obituary of Elisa Lee Pedersen

Elisa “Lee” Pedersen of Calgary passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at the age of 93 years with family at her side. Elisa was born in Vancouver to Italian parents. As a small child the family moved to the Olds area and in 1946 moved to Calgary, residing here ever since. Elisa was employed at the Palliser Hotel and the Hudson’s Bay. An avid card player, Elisa enjoyed getting together with her family and friends and was always up on current events and enjoyed a lively political discussion. She was a member of the Corpus Christi Seniors and the Fanning Centre card groups Family was everything to Elisa and she cherished every family get together. She will be dearly missed by her only daughter Christine and husband Bob of Calgary. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Angela (Glenn), Patricia (Rene) and Rob (Linda) and her great-grandchildren, Evan, Casey, Wynne and Kieren. Elisa was predeceased by her husband Emil and by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Jose Antonio and Bert and Gladys Antonio. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery St. Josephs Section.
