Greg Melvin Green, of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the age of 50 years. Greg opened up his home and worked with people with Special Needs and he worked in the oil and gas industry. He was very involved with Narcotics Anonymous and had a special touch for mentoring others within the program. Greg was passionate about music and related all situations to music. He had a great sense of humour and was the life of the party. He loved the outdoors, all sports, especially camping and golfing. Greg was a great son, father, brother, and friend; and he was always there for anyone anytime of the day. Greg is survived by his daughter Sarah Green and her partner Jas Mitchell; parents, Bruce and Verna Green; sisters, Debbie (Randy) King, Jo-Ann (Ernie) MacLeod, Giselle (Joe) Bennett, Shari Green (Kari Hendricks), Sonya Green; brother, Pierre Green, (Heather); nephews, Robert, Steven, Dylan, Sam, Aaron; nieces, Amanda, Jasmine, Corry, and April. “We love you and miss you.” Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway’s “Park Memorial Chapel” (5008 Elbow Drive South West) on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
