Obituary of Yvonne Augusta Williams

Yvonne Augusta Williams, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2008 at the age of 64 years. Yvonne was born in Pares Villiage, Antigua, West Indies on July 24, 1943. She attended Hills Secondary School and Antigua Girls High School. Yvonne immigrated to Toronto, ON in 1969, married Winston Williams in 1975 and then moved to Calgary, AB in 1979. She began her career with Gulf Canada as a Paralegal and presently was an Administrator in the field of Geological/Geophysical Technical Graphics Support at Petro-Canada. Yvonne was a proud parishioner of the St. Columba’s Anglican Church in Toronto and of St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Calgary. Her favourite song was ‘The Rose’ and she enjoyed reading and listening to all types of music, but her biggest passion was growing plants. Yvonne is survived by her loving sisters and brothers-in-law, Veronica and Clarence David and Norma and Raphael Edwards and brothers and sisters-in-law, Valney and Francine Francis and Aston and Jean Francis. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Myrna, Carl, Terry, Cheryl, Rodney, Dalmain, Amber, Alex, Leigh, Chanda and Marlon, as well as extended family and many dear friends near and abroad. Yvonne was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Agatha Francis. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S ‘Park Memorial Chapel’ (5008 Elbow Drive South West) on Monday, April 7, 2008 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
