Obituary of Della Hoy

Della Hoy of Calgary, formerly of Sherbrooke and the Eastern Townships, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the age of 80 years. Della was born in Fitch Bay, QC. She was a compassionate woman whose loyalty to her husband was matched only by her love for her children and grandchildren. Della married Fred on March 10, 1956. They lived in Sherbrooke until 1974, when they moved with youngest son Greg to Calgary. Della is survived by her children, Wayne (Pam) of Calgary, Carol (Bruce) of Alexandria, ON, Nancy of Scarborough, ON, Terry of Edmonton and Gregory of Victoria, BC. She is also survived by her sister Marjorie of BC; grandchildren, Wayne Jr. of Brampton ON, Kimberley of Peachland, BC, Brandan of Calgary, Henry, Tammy and Michael of Edmonton and Trevor and Olivia of Victoria. In addition there are many nieces, nephews, friends and great-grandchildren. Della was predeceased by her loving husband Fred in 1994, as well as her sisters Celia (2002), Jean (2007), and her brother Robert (1994). Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
