Obituary of Douglas Carpenter Fox

Douglas Carpenter Fox, beloved husband of Erna of 50 years, went home to his Lord and Saviour on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Douglas Fox was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on January 8, 1920. He married Erna Schwanke on December 19, 1957. Doug worked for 39 years for the Bank of Canada. Upon his retirement, he became the office administrator at First Alliance Church for 10 years. Doug lived first and foremost to serve his Lord and Saviour. He was a devoted husband and treasured the time spent with his wife, Erna. Serving his family, friends, and others brought him great joy. He had a wonderful sense of humour, and had a great passion for tennis, playing well into his 80’s. To know him was to love him. Doug will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched. He is survived by his loving wife Erna. Daughters and sons-in-law: Heather and Brian Larsen, Marilee and Gerald Nakano. Grandchildren: Brooke Kaulius, Holly Larsen and Ty Nakano, as well as several nieces and nephews, friends and extended family.
