Obituary of James Tobin

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Jim Tobin on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the age of 61 years. Jim was born in Morell, P.E.I. and has lived in Calgary since 1973 where he owned and operated a plumbing and gas fitting business. He was kind hearted, loving and caring individual with a great love for life. Jim always put the well being of others before himself. His heart also went out to any stray, lost or injured animal. Jim loved his seafood, going home to P.E.I. for visits, travel, golf and just to sit and enjoy the good company of his family, friends and associates. He touched the hearts of many. Besides his loving spouse Irene Till Jim is survived by his sisters, Edna (Wayne) MacKinnon of Mississauga, ON and Evelyn (Don) Lees of Thunder Bay, ON and their families. He will also be missed by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Margaret Tobin. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
