Obituary of Caroline Kenmuir

Caroline (Carrie) Kenmuir passed away at the Extendicare Cedars Villa on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the age of 87 years. Caroline was born in Glasgow, Scotland on April 12, 1920, and spent her early years living on air force bases in Germany with her husband and son. She immigrated to Canada in 1959, first settling in Lethbridge and then in Calgary. Caroline enjoyed being a member of the Camera Club for many years. Her free time was spent reading, knitting, and outdoor activities as she was an avid walker and hiker. Caroline was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church and very active in the woman’s groups associated with the church. She will always be remembered as having a strong work ethic and for her faith in God. Her sense of humour will never be forgotten. Caroline will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law Gordon and Barb, her cherished grandson Christopher, her sister Jean of Vancouver, BC and by her nephews, Paul, Allister, and David. She was predeceased by her husband James and grandson Robert Michael. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church (1009 – 15th Avenue S.W.) on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Caroline’s honour may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200 – 325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 2P5, Telephone: (403) 205-3966, email jordanp@cancer.ab.ca.
