Obituary of Agnes Angebrandt

Agnes Angebrandt, beloved wife of Matthew Angebrandt of Calgary, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Agnes was born in Kommern, Germany and came to Canada at age five where the family resided in Quill Lake, SK. In 1947 she moved to Regina and worked there until she married Matthew in 1957 in Quill Lake. They then settled in Calgary and had three daughters. Agnes belonged to the Columbian Ladies, did the book work at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, was chairman of admitting and tenant liaison at Carrol Place for several years, and was active with Catholic Immigration. Besides her loving husband Matthew, Agnes is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Carolyn and Frank Sherlock of Winnipeg, MB, Ann Marie and Charlie Van Den Ham of Melbourne, Australia, Lori and Allan Bertamini of Sylvan Lake; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson due in June. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 – 34th Street S.W.) on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
