Wayne would have been my first cousin. I remember Wayne very well. He often visited with my parents, Art and Eileen Empey, when he came to Aneroid.I particularly remember an afternoon when I had brought my oldest son to “interview” his grandparents on what life was like when they were growing up and how times had changed. It just so happened that Wayne was at their home that afternoon and he, along with my parents, provided us with so much information! Of course, your Dad loved to talk and between the three of them we were very busy taking notes!!! It was truely a great afternoon; I too, learned a great deal. I recall mom and dad always looking forward to and enjoying Wayne’s visits to Aneroid. I did as well, he had so many stories to share. He always spoke so fondly of his children. Although, very, very late I would like to express my sympathy to all of you. I’m certain you still miss each and every day. I hope this finds all of you in good health and perhaps one day we will have an opportunity to meet one another.
