Marie Yedersberger

Obituary of Marie Yedersberger

Our dear mother Marie Josephine Yedersberger of Calgary passed away at the age of 87 years with her family at her side after a courageous fight with breast cancer. Marie Yedersberger was born in Prudhomme, SK, the daughter of Rachelle and David Labelle. She was a long time member and instructor for the Taoist Tai Chi Society and a Therapeutic Touch practitioner. Mom was also an accomplished watercolour painter and was very sad to give this up after losing her eyesight. Even then she continued to enjoy her weekly bridge club; holding the cards close to her face, she made a formidable opponent. Mom loved music and was one of the founding members of the Harmonicas’ Tableau. She enjoyed the outdoors, hiking with her family and bird watching. Marie is survived by her loving children, Sandra Killan, Dianne Hamel (Ron), Derryl Killan, Janet Bodlund (Karl); grandchildren, Duke, Kerry, Krista, Theresa, Steven, Gregory, Jenny, Suzanne, Cora and Leslie; her sister Rosa Labrash of Saskatoon, SK; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Roy Killan in 1959. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S “Park Memorial Chapel” (5008 Elbow Drive South West) on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church (4718 Worcester Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in “Holy Family Cemetery” at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
