Obituary of Van Alstine
Malcolm Howard Van Alstine of Calgary passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the age of 48 years.
Malcolm was born on February 17, 1960 and was adopted by Diana and Lambert in October of 1961. Malcolm graduated from Ernest Manning senior high school and began working alongside his father at the Alvan machine shop. Malcolm had many pastimes, and especially enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many.
Malcolm is survived by his father, Lambert Van Alstine; sister, Christine (Brian) Wheeldon; nieces, Sarah Wheeldon and Diana (Jared) Eves; several other relatives of the Allred family in the UK and Van Alstine family in Regina and Vancouver; as well as by many friends. He was predeceased by his mother Diana Millicent Van Alstine (nee Allred).
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church (7602-22A St. SE) on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
