Obituary of Maddalena Velia Roach

Maddalena (Madeline) Velia Roach (nee Pavan) of Calgary passed away on Monday, March 3, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Madeline was born on June 27, 1923 in Bellevue, AB and settled in Calgary in the early fifties after exploring Canada. Madeline spent her life devoted to her family and after retirement from Eatons she loved to travel as well as bowl, garden, aquasize, and knit for hospitalized babies. Madeline is sadly missed by her loving children Dale and Tracy; granddaughters, Ashley, Heather and Andrea. She also had a special relationship with Ashley’s mother Delphine Roach; special nieces Julie (Gino) Galasso and Clarice Bottos. As well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Madeline was predeceased by her parents Arturo and Giuditta Pavan, her only sister Lea Ziraldo; nephew Tiziano Bottos and great nephew David Bottos; as well as her brother-in-law Luigi Ziraldo.
