Obituary of Northgrave III

William James (Jim) Northgrave III, husband of Sylvia, of Calgary passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008, after a long battle with prostate cancer, at the age of 67 years. Jim was born on January 14, 1941 in Toronto, ON, living in Saskatoon, SK for a time and settling in Calgary in 1972. Personally and professionally, Jim was a lifelong “Techie” in radio, satellite and computer systems. He worked with Transalta Utilities for nineteen years and Network Innovations for six years. Jim served as a manager for teams from Tyke to Junior in Amateur Hockey for thirty years. He also served in the RCAF as a Radar Technician in Dana, SK. Besides his wife Sylvia, Jim is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Elizabeth and Christina and Dean, all of Calgary, AB; his son and daughter-in-law William and Shauna, of Lethbridge, AB; four grandchildren, Braden, Tyson, Katherine and Benjamin. He is also survived by his brother Mike of Toronto, ON. A Celebration of Jim/s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle, N.W.) on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
