Obituary of Matilde Guilhermina Jacinto

It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Matilde Guilhermina Jacinto, on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Matilde Jacinto was born in Faial Azores, Portugal on November 8, 1923. She came to Canada with her young family in 1958 to join her husband Jose and settled in Calgary. Matilde dedicated her life to her husband and children’s wellbeing and happiness. Matilde is survived by her loving son Jose (Jackie); daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and David and Alda and Laszlo; devoted grandchildren, Andrea (Tom), David C. (Jenn), Jason, Teci, and Mathew; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Sydney and Jaxson; as well as her sister Maria of Rhode Island. She was predeceased by her husband Jose and her brothers Manuel, Jose and Guilherme Antonio. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 – 14th Street South West) on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 7:30P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 – 14th Street S.W.) on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
