Obituary of Lenora Marie
Lenora Marie Yellow Fly, beloved wife of Wesley Yellow Fly was called home by our Creator on Wednesday, February 26, 2008 at the age of 45 years.
Lenora was born, raised and received her education on the Siksika reservation. She was known for her soft, kind hearted nature and her sense of humour. Lenora?s nieces and nephews knew her as their second mother, a title that she accepted with open arms and tons of love.
Lenora leaves to mourn her four beautiful sons whom she loved and cherished, Jason, T.J. (Nicole), Nealon and Brandon; her beautiful grandson Joshua,. Sherry and Tracy whom she loved and took as her very own daughters. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Marisa, Delphine and Della (Jerome); brothers Leonard (Rhoda), Kelvin (Twyla) Bradley (Leanne); Ivan, uncles Tom Crane Bear, Jerry Black Horse; aunties Judy, Delphine, Liz (Alvin); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Doris and Kenneth; brothers-in-law, George and Francis; sisters-in-law, Betty, Linda and Bernice; extended family, Axes, Stimson, Raw Eaters and many more, too numerous to mention. We apologize to anyone that we have missed. Lenora was predeceased by her two sons, Jeffray and Joshua; her parents, Leonard and Marina; her brothers Wayne and Joshua; sister, Vivian; niece Jillian; nephews, baby Donald Jr; brother-in-law Donald Scalplock Sr; Grandmother Vivian White Elk; auntie Annie Black Kettle and uncle Rolland Crane Bear.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Foothills-ICU for taking special care of Lenora. Thank you to Rev. Dean Shingoose and Rev. James for the prayers and support they offered.
Wake Services will be held at the Siksika Community Centre (Siksika Nation AB) on Tuesday March 4, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Siksika Community Centre (Siksika Nation, AB) on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery, Siksika Nation.
