Obituary of van der Poel

Ann van der Poel of Calgary passed away at the Sarcee Long Term Care Centre (Care West) on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Anne was born in Rotterdam, Holland on June 20, 1921 and immigrated to Calgary in 1954. Having survived the war, bombardment, cold and hunger, Ann was always a contributor to the needs of her family in addition to being a wife and mother. Ann is survived by her two sons John (Barbara) and Robert (Val); four grandchildren Leslee, Lisa, Steven and Suzan; as well as four great-grandchildren. Ann was predeceased by her husband John.
