Obituary of Donald Steven Wiens

Donald Wiens, son of David & Irene Wiens, brother to Neil & Tania, friend to all he met, passed away Tuesday, February 26th at the young age of 31. Donald was born in Saskatchewan and spent his childhood on the family farm in Watrous. In grade eight, the family moved to Saskatoon where Donald attended John Lake Elementary School and later Aden Bowman High School. He furthered his education at the University of Saskatchewan and SAIT before embarking on a career as project manager for a large engineering firm. His work brought him as far north as Iqaluit and as far south as Honduras and everywhere in between. Many friendships were developed through his North American tour. His travels fueled his zest for living life to the fullest; from surfing to snowboarding, climbing to kayaking, snowmobiling to motorcycling, he embraced every challenge. Donald filled his life with his family and friends, giving his heart to everyone he knew. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th at 2:00 pm at the First Alliance Church (12345 40th Street SE, Calgary, Alberta, T2Z 4E6).
