Obituary of Caroline Alma Kevol
Caroline Kevol, of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the age of 86 years.
Carol was born in Markinch District, SK on July 18, 1921. Carol attended school in Markinch followed by Normal School Training in Regina, later receiving her teaching degree. She met Bill Kevol in 1943 and they married in 1946. Mom taught elementary school in one room schools in Saskatchewan, in Victoria where they lived for 17 years, and in Calgary where they moved in 1964. Mom and Dad enjoyed square dancing and bowling for many years. Her grandchildren were a great source of joy for her. Mom loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending as many softball and hockey games as possible to cheer them on. She also loved watching all the Flames and Stampeders games on television.
Carol is survived by her husband Bill; daughter Karen; son Garry and his wife Sherron; her grandchildren Christopher, Michael, Billy, Brian and Beth; and her sister Elsie. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Clara, Irma and Leona.
She was predeceased by her parents Gottfried and Augustina Fiege; her brothers Kasper, Carl, Erhardt and an infant brother in Russia; her sisters and their husbands Lydia (Walter) Huffnagel and Eleanor (Marv) Ahl and brother-in-law Johnny Thurmeier. Carol is also predeceased by her beloved daughter Marilyn, and her son-in-law Bob Won.
A Celebration of her life will be held at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd (13811 Deer Ridge Drive S.E.) on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
