Obituary of Virginia Clarke

Virginia Clarke, beloved wife of Harris Clarke of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Virginia was born in Radway, AB on November 14, 1919. She loved music and enjoyed playing her mandolin with the Ukrainian Orchestra. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Besides her loving husband Harris, Virginia is survived by her children and their spouses, Norm and Janet Clarke of Calgary, Mary Jane and Sid Scheifele of Red Deer; two grandchildren, Matt and Shannon; and a great-grandson Benjamin. She is also survived by her brothers, Pete Chitrenky, Walter and Evelyn Chitrenky; sisters-in-law Alice Chitrenky and Marion Chitrenky; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son John; three brothers, John, Harry and Paul; and sister-in-law Jean Chitrenky. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow in the “Garden of Devotion” at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
