Obituary of Ratimir Ivo Bosnjak
Ratimir Ivo Bosnjak, beloved husband of Ana Bosnjak of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the age of 66 years.
Ratimir Bosnjak was born in Dubrovnik, Croatia on April 13, 1941. He spent his life as a musician and was an accomplished clarinettist. Music was not only his love but also his life. Ratimir led a full, rich and well-travelled life that allowed him to see most of the world, bringing his music and passion into many lives. He conducted the Calgary Croatian Choir and was not only a musician, but also a teacher that devoted much of his time to enriching other’s lives with music and joy.
Ratimir is survived by his loving wife Ana Bosnjak of Calgary, AB; his daughters, Ariana (Luksa) Trojanovic and Dijana (Niko) Miletic; his sons, Dragutin Bosnjak, Hrvoje Bosnjak and Ivan Bosnjak; his grandchildren, Ivan and Jakov Trojanovic and Nina and Ivana Miletic; as well as many friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Dragutin Bosnjak and Lucija Bosnjak – Kovacevic.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S “Park Memorial Chapel” (5008 Elbow Drive South West, Calgary) on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Marija Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church (14680 Deer Ridge Drive S.E.) on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
