Obituary of Germaine Agnes Fisher

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Germaine (Jean) Agnes Fisher on Thursday, February 21, 2008. Jean was born in North Cobalt, ON, and was the daughter of Maria and Joseph Legault. She was employed for many years with the Calgary Catholic School Board where she managed the cafeterias at St. Mary’s Girls School, St. Francis High School, and Bishop Carroll High School. She was very active in her retirement years. Her enthusiasm and love of people were reflected in her long association with the Harmonica Tableau, her tap dancing and Square dancing and her Tai Chi classes with her daughters. She loved to dance and will be remembered by many friends at her Saturday Night Dances. She is survived by her loving children, her daughters, Jean (Wally) Derbyshire and Diane (Hank) Bakker; and her son, Jerry (Judy) Fisher; her loving grandchildren, Duff, Jan, Jean (Ed), Jessica, Jason, and Kaylee; one great-grandchild, Kacey; and her two brothers, Tom and Yvan Brazeau; as well as numerous loved nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church (4718 Worcester Drive South West) on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will follow at a later date. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the charity of your choice. Her joie de vie, positive philosophy, and never-say-quit attitude will continue to inspire all who loved her.
