Obituary of Shirley Mayzes

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Violet Mayzes (nee Baxter), beloved wife of Edward Mayzes of Bragg Creek, on Monday, February 11, 2008 at the age of 71 years. Shirley was born and raised in Calgary, AB. She married her husband Edward Mayzes on September 14, 1956. She loved travelling, especially to Japan and Venice. Shirley was a great business woman and homemaker who loved her dogs, her children and grandchildren immensely. She had a weakness for dogs, chocolate, gnomes, fairies and fantasy. Shirley is survived and greatly missed by her husband Edward Mayzes; her sons, Daniel (Rena) Mayzes and Robbin Mayzes; her grandchildren, Megan, Matthew and Kaydie Mayzes; her great-granddaughter Taylor Mayzes; her brother Lance (Joy) Baxter of Lethbridge, AB; her sister Millie Conklin of Prince George, BC; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Shirley was predeceased by her father Joseph Baxter; her mother Clara Baxter; her brother Roy Baxter, all of Calgary; and her sister Doreen Melnyk of Penticton.
