Obituary of Allan Nelson
Allan Nelson beloved husband of Rose of Calgary passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the age of 61.
He was born in Red Deer on September 8, 1946, raised on the family farm in Delburne and moved to Alix after graduating from high school. Allan worked road construction for many years before purchasing his own gravel truck. Everyone knew him as an extremely hard worker and there was no one more reliable. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather; traveling to the States with Rose for the month of January, his love for his kids, grandkids, and his work brought them back. Allan enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, and his house was open to anyone that came to visit.
Allan leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of thirty nine years Rose, daughters Cathy (Phil) and Connie (Derek) and son Trevor (Tracy), grandchildren Talea, Shelby, Owen, and Raine. Allan is also survived by his mother Evelyn, brothers Gordon (Darlene) and Myles, sisters Judy (Moe) and Joan as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 2:30P.M.
