Obituary
Obituary of John Zamiski
Sadly, John left us Saturday February 9, 2008 in the peace and comfort of his own home in Calgary, AB, surrounded by his immediate family members, and his loving wife of nearly 14 years, Donna.
John’s career in the seismic industry saw 1000’s of miles put under his boots and a few bears on his tail! For almost forty-seven years he lived and breathed his passion for the industry. He took great pride in completing seismic programs throughout AB, BC, SK, MB, PQ, and the Arctic territory. As a member of the CAGC, CSEG, and the Gunchers group, John’s jovial personality attracted many friends in and outside of the industry.
John will be sadly missed by his two children, Kelly (Dawn) Zamiski, and Kary Lynn Zamiski, his three step children; Gina Konschuh (Dale Lohmer), Jamie (Tim) Walden, Jared (Tammy) Konschuh, and special friends Karen and Steven, as well as his nine grandchildren.
John has joined his mother Nettie, father Tony and his step father Jim, and is survived by one brother, Joe Caldwell, four sisters; Kaye (George) Andrews, Jean (Ed Reinert) Zamiski, Joyce Lauber, and Fran (Ken) Marsden, and two step sisters Mary DeMaere and Anna (Petro) Shebetz. John will also be sincerely missed by Donna’s family, the Scopicks.
