Obituary of Roy Meister

Roy Walter Meister, beloved husband of Deanna of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the age of 52 years. Roy was born and raised in Calgary. He graduated from Bishop Carroll High School, attended SAIT and graduated into the plumbing trade. On August 25, 1983 he married the love of his life Deanna and in 1984 they were blessed with the birth of their beautiful daughter Tania. They loved to travel and in 1996 Roy’s dream of taking Deanna and Tania to Hawaii came true. Roy had a great sense of humour and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed and remembered always. Besides his loving wife Deanna, Roy is survived by his daughter Tania Meister of Calgary. He is also survived by his mother Inge Meister, his two sisters and brothers-in-law; Nancy and George Heger and Jenny and Rob Wright, Kandice Meister and Kay Meister, mother-in-law Marjorie Inson and brother-in-law Ken Hooper, his nephews; Brandon and Cory and nieces; Melanie and Jamila. Roy was predeceased by his father Hans Meister. A Celebration of Roy’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle, N.W.) on Saturday February 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
