Obituary of Edith Mary Fisher
Mrs. Edith Mary (Middleton) Fisher of Calgary passed away the Mayfair Care Centre on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the age of 89 years.
Edith was born in St. Boswell, SK on May 2, 1918. In 1953 Edith and Bill settled in Calgary with their three children. She was a gentle soul who always had a kind word for all.
Edith is survived by her daughter Gloria Scurr; two sons Bert (Linda) Middleton and Bob (Martha)Middleton; grandchildren Glen, Michael, Terry (Karen), Connie (Karl), Jason (Tania) and Candace (Ian); and great-grandchildren, Demi, Brody, Eve, Tiana, Kaya and Xavier. She is also survived by her two step-sons, Joe (Linda) Fisher and Rex (Donna) Fisher of Calgary; four step-grandsons, Cory (Stephanie), Tyler (Keri), Derek (Tara) and Grant; three step-great-grandchildren, Brandon, Chase, and Darian; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Edith’s greatest passion in life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Bill, her second husband Norm, her daughter Beverly Gail, her sister Jean Burt and her brother Bert Bieber.
A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S “Park Memorial Chapel” (5008 Elbow Drive South West) on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Linda Terra and the staff at the Mayfair Care Centre.
