Obituary of Mary Jane Blackmore

Mary Jane Blackmore (nee Mouland) passed away on Monday, February 4, 2008 at the age of 94 years. Mary was born on January 14, 1914 in Bonavista, NL. She was a very active member of the Salvation Army community in Newfoundland, Ontario and Calgary. Mary Jane loved to sing, knit and bake. She had a big smile and was a very compassionate and loving person. Mary Jane is survived by her children and their spouses, Gloria (Ken) Mercer of Calgary, Walwin (Joan) Blackmore of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Leonard (Joanne) Blackmore of London, ON and Janet (Brian) Friesen of Calgary; her grandchildren, James, Tim (Lynn), Pamela, Natalie, Stephanie, Kayla and Kimberley; her great-grandson Jeremy-James; her brother Chesley Mouland of Toronto, ON; and her sister Olive Legrow of Bauline, NL. She was predeceased by her husband Hector Blackmore; and two granddaughters, Cindy and Tracy Blackmore. Funeral Services will be held at the Salvation Army Glenmore Temple (921 68th Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Cambridge, ON.
