Obituary of Raffaele Esposito

Raffaele Esposito, beloved husband of Adelina Esposito of Calgary passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Raffaele was born in San Giacomo di Cerzeto, Italy and served for ten years with the Italian Military police. He married Adelina Contino in 1940 and they immigrated to Canada in 1954. Raffaele worked for the City of Calgary for a short time, before becoming a barber and owning his own Barber Shop. He retired in 1982. Besides his loving wife Adelina, Raffaele is survived by one son and two daughters-in-law, Carlo and Kathy Esposito of Calgary and Marge Esposito of Airdrie; five grandchildren, Adam and Matthew (Natalie) Esposito of Calgary, Anna (Charlie) Lupo of Toronto, Rick (Irene) Esposito of Airdrie and Marco (Holly) Esposito of Lethbridge; six great-grandchildren, Larissa and Alessandro Lupo, Cody, Brandon, Stephanie and Tyler Esposito. He is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Francesco and Pina Esposito and Paulo and Maria Esposito of Italy. Raffaele was predeceased by a son, Mario Esposito in 2006 and two brothers, Luigi and Rolando Esposito. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street and Northmount Drive N.W.) on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in Queen’s park Cemetery.
