Obituary of William Wallace Robertson

Bill Robertson passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the age of 85 years. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a gentleman. Bill (or “Scotty” as he was known to many) was born to Roy and Myrtle (Clarke) Robertson in Macklin, SK and moved to Saskatoon with his family as a lad. Sixty years ago he married Joyce Geil of Lucky Lake, SK and they lived in the Mayfair and Hudson Bay Park districts in Saskatoon. Scotty was transferred by Robin Nodwell to Calgary in 1966. He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Don and Ian (Doug), sisters, Ann, Ellen and Barbara (Babs); and granddaughter Lindsay Naylor. Bill is survived by his wife Joyce; daughters, Diane Seaward, Iris-Dawn (John) Naylor, Gwen (Doug) Zimmer, and Fern (Graham) Kerslake; and grandchildren, Bruce Seaward, Allan Naylor, Melanie (Jesse) Guest, Jordan, Katrina and Kirstin Zimmer, Matthew, Andrew and Travis Kerslake; and great-granddaughter Alloya Guest; as well as sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) MacKenzie and Kathleen (Kay) Stowe; brother Clifford (Eileen) Robertson; sister-in-law Dorothy Robertson; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at McDougall United Church (8516 Athabasca Street S.E.) on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. A Family Graveside Service was held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
