Obituary of Reed Franklin Johnson

Reed Franklin Johnson of Calgary, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2008, at the age of 83 years Reed was born November 10, 1924 in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. He served as a Gunner in the U.S. Air Force. Reed obtained his Geophysicist degree from Brigham Young University in Utah, and worked for Geophysical Services Incorporated for thirty-five years. Reed travelled extensively during his career, which took him to South East Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. He was in England where he met Barbara Jean Putland and they married on April 23, 1962. They moved to the U.S.A. prior to moving to Calgary in 1963 where they settled and raised their family. Reed is survived by his daughter and son, Allison Lindsay Johnson of Calgary and David Franklyn Johnson of Squamish, BC; and a sister Margie Woodall of Orem, Utah. Reed was predeceased by his wife Barbara in 1993 and his parents Ethel and Volmer Johnson.
