Obituary of Walter Simon Wouters

Walter Wouters, beloved husband of Faye Wouters of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the age of 67 years. Walter was born on April 16, 1940 in Vancouver, BC but he grew up in Penticton and later Calgary. He married Faye on March 20, 1971. Walter worked with Burnco Rock Products for over eleven years and he made true friends there. He was a member of Teamsters Local 362 but his proudest achievement was being a great husband and father. Walter loved woodworking, hockey games and cooking. A favourite memory was the family ski trip to Sugarloaf, U.S.A. He was also particularly fond of his best friend Scamper. Besides his loving wife Faye, Walter is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Craig and Lisa of Calgary, Troy of Toronto; and three grandchildren, Marria, Meggan and Ryan Walter. He is also survived by his brother John David (Jack). Walter was predeceased by his parents Walter and Anna. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
