Obituary of Marguerite Rosilda Hurl

Marguerite Hurl (nee Morissette) of Calgary passed away on Monday, January 21, 2008 at the age of 91 years. Marguerite was born on September 3, 1916 in Morinville, AB, the eldest of ten children born to Joseph and Philomene Morissette. She moved to Edmonton where she attained her nursing degree and later moved to Ponoka to nurse. Marguerite met Norman in Ponoka while working there and they were later married. Following Norman’s retirement they enjoyed travelling to southern California and spending winters there, golfing and walking the beach. Marguerite will be remembered as a woman who always made you smile and lived life with zest. Marguerite is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Marilyn Hurl of Qualicum Beach, BC, Wes and Mary Ann Hurl of Calgary; a daughter and son-in-law Maxine and Denis Pepin of Greensboro, GA; seven grandchildren, Michael, Christopher and Monique Pepin, Christopher and Danielle Hurl, Tyson and Sam Hurl; and four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Kyle, Conner, and Zoey. She is also survived by three sisters, Cecile McRae, Rachel Morissette and Denise Starnes; and two brothers, Rev. Lucien Morisette and Roger Morissette. She was predeceased by her husband Norman; three brothers; and a sister.
