Obituary of William Galambos
Willie Galambos of Calgary passed away quietly at his home on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the age of 77 years.
Willie was born in St. Brieux, SK and was known as Uncle Willie or the Candy Man. His biggest passion was his family and his church.
Willie is survived by his children, Gary (Debra), Janice (Len) Teichroeb and Judy (Ross) Stonehouse; brothers George, Andy, Joe and Louis and sisters, Theresa and Evelyn. Uncle Willie also leaves his grandchildren, Cory, Kevin (Rhonda), Tamara (Scott), Kim (Jeremy), Daniel, Kara (Rob), Janelle (Will), Sandy (Tracy), Ross (Saenal); three great-grandchildren, Sydney, Dominic and Kaelyn as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Janet; parents, John and Mary Galambos; brother Jim; sisters, Mary, Elizabeth and Ann and grandson Kael Vance.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Beddington Pentecostal Church (16 Bermuda Drive N.W.) on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
