Obituary of Allan Morningstar

Allan Ellis Morningstar, of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on Friday, January 18, 2008 at the age of 74. Allan was born in Welland, Ontario where he completed high school. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts. Al commenced his career in sales with Page Hersey Tubes and later with Stelco, both in Toronto. He transferred to Calgary with Stelco and later worked at Midwest Engineering. He was subsequently involved in his own company, Hawkeye Inspection. Al had a big passion for golf, photography, big band music and women. Al will be lovingly remembered by three daughters, Diane Morningstar, Avelon Earl and Donna Morningstar, one granddaughter, Chantel Morningstar, all of Calgary and two brothers, Bill and Walter Morningstar, both of Welland, Ontario. He was predeceased by his brother Jim and parents, Elsie and Ellis Morningstar. A Celebration of Al’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
