Obituary of Isaac Froese
FROESE, Isaac (Ike) passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at the age of 79, after a long battle with emphysema compounded in recent months by cancer. He is survived by Doreen, his loving wife of 35 years, daughter Heather (Ron) of Taber, AB and three grandchildren as well as one great-grandson. He is also survived by his sister Anne (Ed) Rempel of Ontario. Ike was both from, and had, a blended family and is also survived by three sons, Daryl (Maria) Skaug, Jason Skaug and Whittier (Nikki) Skaug all of Calgary as well as two daughters, Judith Skaug-Moore (Dale) of Invermere, B.C. and Wanda Fullwiler of Portland, Oregon and nine more grandchildren. Also surviving is brother Henry (Helen) Wiebe of Killarney, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his dear son Curtis and by brothers Jack and Abe and sisters Louise and Rose. For the past 50 years Ike has been a resident of Bowness where he operated a flooring business, then added construction and renovations to his endeavours. After he retired, he preferred to stay close to home and that is where he was happy and contented. A very special heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Agape Hospice for their loving, compassionate care. A memorial service will be held at McInnis & Hollway’s Crowfoot Chapel, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W. on Saturday, January 19 at 2:30 p.m. If friends so desire, donations in Ike’s memory can be made directly to The Lung Association, AB & NWT, P.O.
