Obituary of Walter Harold Stewart

Walter Stewart of Calgary passed away on Monday, January 14, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Walter was born on August 3, 1922 in Crossfield, AB. He was the last survivor of twelve children born to Herbert Turner Stewart and Rosella “Lola” Sanders Stewart, a pioneer family in the Crossfield area. Walter’s life was fully lived, with his passion for fishing, hunting, friends, family and his business interests. Walter is survived by his loving companion Verna Falconer and her family; his children, Carolyn Kemp, Mark and Vicki Stewart, and Jean Stewart and John Gyra; He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Darrel and Patricia Kemp and their children Lucas and Ethan, Jody and Michael Germaine and their children Carmen and Peter, Karen and Tyler Stevenson and their daughter Jana, Timothy Stewart and his children Victoria and Samantha, and their mother Debbie Stewart, Colleen and John Hills and their children Carlee and Leonard, Andy and Nikki Stewart and their children Brody and Kate, Mary-Elizabeth and Ken Street and their children Kristin, Lindsay, and Emily, and Krista Roessingh and her son Desmond; as well as many nieces and nephews.
