Obituary of Harry Maurice Purdie

It is with great sadness that the family of Harry (Harvey) Maurice Purdie announce his passing at the age of 77 years on Sunday, January 6, 2008. Harry was born and raised in Edmonton and has lived in Calgary since 1974. He is survived by his brothers Rev. Jack Purdie (Shirley) of Vancouver and Paul (Susan) of Edmonton, and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Grace and her husband Larry Hoffman. We wish to acknowledge the staff and residents of Bow Valley Lodge whose kindness and friendship brightened Harry’s last two years despite his failing health. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 11, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Eastside Memorial Chapel, 5388 Memorial Drive NE, Calgary. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.
