Obituary of Muriel Thompson

Muriel Thompson of Calgary passed away on Friday, January 11, 2008 at the age of 83 years. Muriel was born on September 7, 1924 in Yorkton, SK. She moved to Calgary in August of 1966, when her husband Gordon began working at the Calgary Herald. Muriel is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Candy and Ron White and Trudi and Ian Burnham, all of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Marci (Darryl) Lewis, of Calgary, Tara (Jon) Hales of Toronto, ON, and Tyler Burnham of Calgary; and two great-grandchildren Riley Lewis and Kaitlyn Hales. Muriel was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1983, and three sisters Violet Norris, Kay Grant, and Ruth Payne.
