Obituary of Marion Mame Miller

Marion Miller passed away on Monday, January 7, 2008 at the age of 95 years. Marion was born on June 5, 1912 in Saskatoon, SK to an original pioneer family that immigrated from Glasgow, Scotland. Marion worked at the Star Phoenix newspaper for ten years, moving to Calgary in 1943 where she has resided for over sixty five years. Settling in the Parkhill area and staying there till her death. She loved playing sports at the Glencoe, being part of the bridge club for fifty years, collecting antiques with her husband Jack and going to The First Baptist Church. Marion is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Robin and Keith Cameron; two grandsons, Christian and Charles Cameron, as well as four great-grandsons, Caleb, the twins, Ronan and Saywer and Aidon. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Anderson Miller. A Celebration of Marion’s Life will be held at First Baptist Church (1311 – 4th Street S.W.) on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
